About the Medical Scholars Program

Breadcrumb

The Medical Scholars Program at the University of California Riverside started with 15 students in 2004 and has grown to serve over 800 undergraduates.

Students are offered a variety of opportunities for academic and personal growth. MSP is a community of highly motivated and talented students interested in careers in the health sciences who support each other’s goals. The program provides peer-based academic and social support through mentoring, academic coaching, community service, and team-building activities. In all, MSP students distinguish themselves through their service and commitment to meeting the medical needs of inland southern California and improving the health of the medically underserved in the region.
